CDEC - Education

Become a CDEC lineworker in a year

Are you struggling to find a career? Are you hands-on,
like working with tools and enjoy being outdoors?

If so, consider a future with Continental Divide Electric
Co-op as a journeyman lineworker.

In one year, you could become certified as an Electrical Power Lineworker through a partnership between CDEC and Doña Ana Community College at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.

To qualify, all you need is a high school diploma or GED and a good driving record, be physically fit and have good eye, body and hand coordination. CDEC and DACC will take care of the rest, including financial aid for those who qualify, summer employment and excellent job opportunities when you graduate.
