Available to all consumers requiring less than 50kVA of transformer capacity at a single service location within CDEC's service area. Special metering is required under this tariff and will be provided by CDEC.

Security and Street Lighting
CDEC continues to offer an instant rebate on the installation cost of LED street and security lights. Click below to see the rates, costs and savings for 98-watt and 174-watt LEDs, compared to the older, equivalent High-Pressure Sodium (HPS) lights, which are no longer available.

Private Area Lighting Rate
The Private Area Lighting Rate is available to all consumers within CDEC's service area, except for the lighting of public thoroughfares. If a new pole and transformer are required, CDEC's Engineering Department will need to provide an estimate.
Street Lighting Service Rate
The Street Lighting Service Rate is available only for city and town street lighting under agreement with the governmental body within CDEC's service area. If a new pole and transformer are required, CDEC's Engineering Department will need to provide an estimate.

Renewable Resource Rate
Available to all consumers within CDEC's service area.

Continental Divide Electric Co-op offers "green power" through our power supplier Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association. The program is voluntary and consists of a one (1) year contract to purchase renewable resources in 100 kilowatt-hour blocks at a market-based rate.
CDEC Net Metering
Per New Mexico Public Regulation Commission rules, Continental Divide Electric Cooperative offers net metering.
Irrigation Service
Available to all irrigation pumping consumers within CDEC's service area, requiring 50kVA or more of transformer capacity.
Character of Service: Alternating current, single- or three-phase, 60 Hertz at available primary or secondary voltages.
Commercial Rate - General Service
Available to all consumers requiring less than 50kVA of transformer capacity at a single service location within CDEC's service area.
Character of Service: Alternating current, single- or three-phase, 60 Hertz, at available secondary voltages.
Large Power Service
Available to all consumers within CDEC's service area, requiring 50kVA and over of transformer capacity for all types of usage.
Character of Service: Alternating current, single- or three-phase, 60 Hertz, at available primary or secondary voltages.
Please note that this rate is also in accordance with CDEC's Line Extension Policy.
Large Industrial Transmission Service
This rate is open to all consumers within the utility's service area who entered into a minimum three (3) year contract and take delivery from the utility's power supplier's 115kV transmission system without utility investment in distribution system facilities. Service under this tariff will be per contract between CDEC and the consumer.
Character of Service: Alternating current, three-phase, 60 Hertz, at 115kV voltage.
